What direction should solar panels face?

You can have solar on any type of roof, although south facing roofs are the best when it comes to solar. East and west facing roofs will still get enough sunlight to generate a good amount of energy. North facing roofs are the least favourable for solar as they don’t get a lot of sunlight meaning that generation might not be very high.
